Past Life Therapy - FAQ'S

Q1. How do I find the right Therapist?

This is the age when everyone claims that he or she is an expert. However, you can know the real expert by his or her credentials. What do people say about him? Is he free of religious bias? Does he have in-depth knowledge of many cultures, religions and philosophies as subjects come from varied backgrounds. Does he charge for the sessions? How much? What are his convictions? Above all, how do you feel in the therapist’s presence? Answers to these questions can give you a clue about whom to approach.

A therapist is friend, participant and guide. He or she has genuine compassion not just toward you but to all living beings on this earth, past, present and future. He is a bodhisattwa - a person who postpones his own salvation to help others.

Q2. What is the duration of a Therapeutic session?

It depends on the subject’s suggestibility to go into a hypnotic trance. It might take ten minutes to half an hour, after which the actual session begins. In general, a session would last between 55 minutes to one a three quarter of hours.

Q3. How does a session begin?

The therapist first talks to you to have a background that you come from - social, cultural and material. He looks for key phrases that could help him gain an insight into your problems. And then gently guides you into an altered state of consciousness, and finally into your past life or lives.

Q4. How will the Ambience be?

You will be in a room, comfortably lit though a shade dimmer than normal light and you may be asked to relax in a chair. There will be some pleasant music played softly, and the room will also carry good but light fragrance that can speak to your body at various layers of perception.

Q5. The number of sessions?

The number of sessions needed for a total cure will depend on the subject, the intensity of the cause in past life, and the willingness of the subject himself or herself to an effective cure. Sometimes it depends on a cause that spreads over several life times. You may be needed, sometimes, to take two sessions a week. However, an average case takes about two to four sessions.

Q6. Will I remember the past lives that I had recalled during a session?

If it is a hypnotherapy session, you will not remember them if the hypnotist had given a strong suggestion to you to forget. Otherwise, you will remember the memories of scenes that you had relived.

Q7. How will I feel after a typical session

If the memory that you had relived is traumatic, you will feel a bit low, and experience a certain hangover, which you will overcome by the end of the session. .A good Therapist always ensures that you come out of the session absolutely fine, fresh and relaxed. Sometimes, certain memories will make you feel elated and happy.

8. Will it affect how the feeling of what sex I am now

it is true that we are born as both male and female in the many lives that we have lived. If you were a female in your earlier incarnation, and now you are man, and in a past life regression you come to know this, your idea of what sex you are now, will certainly be influenced. You may become wise by looking at life from another angle. However, in some guided sessions, the gender will not play a significant role because you are concerned with ‘I’ than the body in which the ‘I’ is in.

Q9. Will I be able to recognize people from my past life in this life

Almost everyone has this talent to recognize people from other lives by looking into their eyes. I don’t know why I like him, but I do is a common line that people in love say. This is a form of recognition of an old flame from some other lives. And the feeling of déjà vu that you get when you meet some people is another example of this. After a session, you will begin to see people from other lives by some abstract qualities, and not by looks or sex.

10. How many levels of regressions are there

There are five levels of regression:

Level one. This is just like recalling what you saw in a movie or video. The images are vague, and the qualities very abstract with no details.

Level two: This is like actually watching a movie. The pictures are clear, the colours are vivid and the outlines sharp, and the pictures moving. The quality of the experience is dynamic. However, you still know that you are an observer

Level three: This is not like seeing a movie but, acting the movie. You have become a participant.

Level four: In this level youare involved in the scenes, but you also retain the consciousness of the present.

Level five: You are very involved, and lost in what you see. Participation mystique!
